How We Think

At LPK Architects, P.A., we believe that a successful project begins with a strong and collaborative relationship with our client. Our approach is centered on transparency, responsiveness, and clear communication from the outset. We start every project with structured engagement and listening sessions to thoroughly understand user needs and project objectives, ensuring alignment before design work commences.

A designated principal or project architect serves as the single point of contact, streamlining communication and reinforcing accountability throughout the project’s life cycle. At project kickoff, we lead alignment meetings to define goals, roles, schedules, and budget expectations. These initial steps lay a solid foundation for collaboration and trust. We maintain proactive engagement through milestone reviews, regular meetings, and consistent project documentation.

Our culture of collaboration makes us particularly effective in guiding diverse groups of design professionals, consultants, and stakeholders. We implement standardized communication protocols, a regular schedule and format for meetings, and formal submittals at key milestones for review and feedback by the University and project stakeholders.

Design transparency is a cornerstone of our process. We use diagrams, visual renderings, and 3D models to convey design intent and encourage informed decision-making. Should changes arise, we will communicate them proactively, providing a clear explanation of the potential impacts on scope, schedule, and budget. Internal QA/QC reviews are integrated into our process to maintain high quality, and client feedback is actively incorporated at every stage.

Above all, our team remains highly responsive and engaged, ready to address challenges and adapt as needed. This structured yet flexible approach fosters strong working relationships, reduces surprises, and leads to successful project outcomes that reflect the client’s goals and vision.
